DIY subsea enclosures from PVC pipes

The Easy-Pods system includes various "flanges" and "end-caps" to create watertight enclosures using PVC pipes from the hardware store.

Each component is sold separately, allowing users to customize their designs to suit specific needs. Make your own camera housings, battery pack enclosure, light, or electronics bottles...

Product Description

The Easy-Pods system is composed of PVC flanges, anodized 6061-T6 aluminum end caps, and acrylic end caps, all designed to fit standard 2" and 4" PVC pipes. It is compatible with both Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 pipes.

To create a cylindrical enclosure, simply glue a standard PVC pipe to an Easy-Pods PVC. Users can customize their enclosures by using different lengths of PVC pipes and matching them with compatible end caps: aluminum, clear acrylic or a 4" dome port.

Easy-Pods are rated for depths of up to 60 meters when using Schedule 40 PVC. For deeper applications, schedule 80 PVC pipes are a suitable option, as they also fit the flanges. We recommend not going deeper than 100m for 4" pipes and 250m for 2" pipes, when using schedule 80 material.
